November Glossybox

I have just received November's Glossybox so thought id do a quick post to show you what was in this months in case you were considering signing up. I have been signed up for about 7 months now and think its been hit and miss to be honest (a few things I must admit have surprised me) I'm hoping that the Christmas box will be something special. If you are signed up to Glossybox and haven't received your November one yet, and if your like me and like the excitement and surprise of opening the box then stop right here and don't read on...

Nail Rock Designer Nail wraps, Dead Sea Spa Magik bath salts, 2 Serge Lutens fragrance, Monu skin perfector 50ml, Arbonne FC5 cooling foot creme 15ml
For me this is not one of their better boxes. The best things for me in the box are the nail wraps and the skin perfector which I'm most excited to try, hopefully it wont make my skin go crazy!

Hopefully December's box will have some better treats.

NOTD

Another quick NOTD, its MUA's shade 23, one of my recent purchases. Not usually attracted to green nail polish but as this was only a £1 I thought I would give it a go and really quite like it!

Blush madness...

Avon soft plum, elf peachy keen, No7 midnight enhancement, Maybelline dream touch in peach, MAC well dressed, Bourjois 03 brun cuivre, Sleek suede 921, Topshop cream blush in head over heels, Natural Collection peach melba, elf cream blush in temptress
I decided to put together my top 10 blushers. Blush has to be, alongside foundation, one of my favourite makeup items to buy, there is such a variation, I just love them! Ive been loving more peachy blushers throughout the summer but I'm falling back into using pinks. Id definitely recommend trying out one of these!

What are your favourite blushers?

Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation Review!

 Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation - 30ml - Ivory (100)
So, while my sister Georgia is away sunning herself the next few posts will just be from myself. I thought I'd share my views on this foundation.

First of all my skin type is dry/sensitive and prone to blemishes (arrgh!). I love trying out new foundations and believe me I have tried lots, from budget to high end. Because my skin is sensitive and prone to blemishes it usually doesn't take long before I have to stop using them. I no longer like wearing thick foundations although I do still want a good coverage. I decided to try this Rimmel foundation and I was so pleased with the results (and price). I'm in the colour ivory (100), I'm usually the lightest shade in most foundations. I don't have oily skin so I cant comment on whether or not it would mattify oily skin enough. This is my first 'matte' foundation and I love the coverage and the matte finish.  I apply it with the ELF powder brush. I would describe it as medium coverage but doesn't feel heavy on the skin. The foundation doesn't last all day for me but I really don't think there is a foundation out there that does (if there is please share!). I also love how compact and slim the tube is,great for saving room in your make up bag (for more products - lol). It doesn't really have a smell to it which is good. This is the only foundation in a long time that hasn't dried my skin out or caused blemishes - yey!

Overall I would describe it as - great colour match, compact, easily dispensed, medium coverage, great price and great texture.

I would definitely recommend trying this foundation if you are after a budget foundation it might just surprise you too.

Even though I love this foundation and it works for me I know that I can't resist trying out new ones, any suggestions? What's your favourite foundation at the moment?

Top 5 lipsticks

Rimmel-nude delight 700, YSL Rouge Volupte 4, MUA - shade 11, MAC viva glam gaga - lustre, elf matte lip colour - natural

Here are my top five lipsticks. I used to be all about lipgloss but Id say for the last year or so Ive been converted to lipstick. I have more recently been loving nude lipsticks rather than pinks. I would say that when you are feeling like a naughty splurge definately try a YSL lipstick as the texture is so unbelievably creamy and I just love the packaging. Although they are pricey theres something nice about having a luxury lipstick in your handbag (sounds strange I know!). I love the elf matte lipstick for an everyday natural lip as it adds just a nice subtle colour for the likes of work. As in my previous post I love the MUA lipsick for a more red toned lipstick. The Rimmel lipstick is the best high street nude I have found that I feel suits me. This MAC lipstick is a great pink colour. I have a list of MAC lipsticks I want to try but for some reason havent got round to getting them yet, hmmmm...not sure why!

I love finding new lipsticks as there are so many to choose from. Im sure I will be adding to this selection in future!

October favourites!

Here are are few things I have been loving throughout October. ..

Avon True Colour blush in soft plum

I love this blusher, its a lovely pink/plum colour. You do have to be careful when applying as the colour can be quite bold if there is too much product. The thing I love most about it is it really does last all day!!

e.l.f cream blush in Temptress

I LOVE this cream bronzer, the texture is so smooth and easy to apply and the colour is just the right shade for me as I dont like bronzers that are too dark as I am so pale. Its a great size and a great budget price! I will definately be checking out one of there pink shades in future!

No7 Midnight Enhancement Blusher

Ive also been loving this No7 blusher this month, I purchased this late october but have been loving it ever since I got it (I used the boots No7 voucher towards it - bonus!). As you can see there are three shades, pink, plum and a highlight shade. I just love the flush of colour it leaves over the cheeks.

 MUA lipstick in shade 11

I purchased this lipstick a few months ago but never really gelled with it but rediscovered it this month and have been loving it. Now, I love red lipstick but dont feel they dont suit me at all, thats why I love this lipstick as its more of a brown shade with red in it so isnt too over powering. The texture is nice nd smooth and stays on a while too and for only £1 i couldnt be more pleased! Its also doesnt have that awful smell/taste that cheap lipsticks usually have.

Barry M nail paint - 115 red black
Barry M nail paint - 292 navy

As its now Autumn, coming up to winter ive switched to darker shades for my nails and ive been loving these two Barry M ones. I apply two coats and love the colour it leaves especially the red black, I think its a really interesting colour it looks red/black/brown all at the same time! Im a big fan of Barry M nail polishes I love the colours they bring out and think they last quite a while. I found the red black to last the longest out of the Barry M polishes I own.

e.l.f eyebrow treat and tame - dark

Ive been using this on my eyebrows more and more recently and really like it. I dont tend to use the clear end which is for holding your eyebrows in place as well as treating them for regrowth but the end with the wand is a great colour match and like how you just comb it through the brow to leave them filled in and in shape!

L'Oreal Professional Mythic Oil

I received this in September's Glossybox and didnt use it straight away but this month ive been using it everytime I wash my hair, I run it through the end of my hair when damp and then blow dry etc and it leaves my hair so soft and silky. I like to add it to the ends sometimes when its dry too to add shine. I think this is really good and love how a little goes  long with with oil so will last a long time. I really want to try the Morrocan hair oil one day too (its added to my looong list of future buys) as im sure if I love this I will really love that!

I wonder what treats I will have next month for my favourites...
